In Fujitsu Launchpad, we build ventures from zero, starting with only a compelling problem to solve, and a hypothesis for a concept which might lead to a 10x solution for that problem.
We incubate ventures through stages of research & ideation, concept validation, MVP creation & launch, and early growth. We aim to hold ventures as portfolio companies or spin out into independent startups around a late seed or Series A stage.
We build ventures fully in-house, with Launchpad product, design, engineering and go-to-market experts driving the process alongside founding intrapreneurs. We work in an ROI-focused, results-driven manner, operating as a standalone subsidiary with high levels of autonomy and decision making control.
Each Launchpad venture begins with only an idea, and progresses through the following stages:
💡 Research & ideation
👍 Concept validation
🛠️ MVP creation
🌱 MVP launch & early traction
💹 Early growth
🚀 Exit (spin out or hold)
Throughout the process, we use quarterly stage gates as a mechanism for increasing investment level as we reduce uncertainty. Our investment committee makes decisions on a portfolio basis, selecting the ventures with the strongest levels of market viability, customer desirability and founder-opportunity fit for further investment and incubation support.
